Tom teaching a clinic

Gold Medal Swimming Clinics, Inc., has years of experience as the world's leading instructional swimming clinic company. Our goal is simple: to share the lifelong benefits of swimming with swimmers of all ages.

A Gold Medal Swimming Clinic is your chance to learn hands-on from an Olympic Gold Medalist, and more importantly, a highly experienced motivator. Our Olympic staff will share their dreams, their successes and their disappointments; but most importantly, they will share their enthusiasm for the sport of swimming.

GMSC's three-hour clinic includes: demonstrations, personal instruction, motivational talks, question and answer, autographs, and a chance to take pictures. Everyone will have the chance to get to know each GMSC clinician and understand what made he or she a true champion, both in the water and in life. Our clinicians emphasize that it does not matter whether or not you make an Olympic Team; by simply committing ourselves to being better everyday, swimmers dramatically improve their quality of life.

Our clinics are simply the most convenient and most affordable way to learn from the best … Olympic champions. Each participant will receive a free signature card and a free Gold Medal swimming cap as well as a care package courtesy of Fitness Swimmer Magazine. We welcome and encourage all parents and coaches from your team to attend the clinic free of charge. Who knows? After you attend a Gold Medal Swimming Clinic, you too may end up back in the water.

All that is required to host a Gold Medal Swimming Clinic is that the host agree that a minimum of 40 swimmers participate at $40 per participant and pay for the clinician's expenses. Additionally, most clubs use our customized marketing material to raise additional funds that often more than offset the instructor's expenses.

A Gold Medal Swimming Clinic is sure to electrify your team. Feel free to call (800.876.6110) or contact us online anytime to get more information or to reserve a 2001-2002 date for your team.

What they've said...

Eddie Reese
University of Texas Head Swim Coach
Coached the Longhorns to six national championships; Head Olympic coach 1992; Assistant Olympic coach 1988, 1996.

"GMSC can help swimmers of every level with their technique and give them valuable training tips to help them mentally prepare for their race, as well as analyze their performance."

Kris Kubik
University of Texas Assistant Swimming Coach; Assisted Eddie Reese with all six national championships.

"When looking at various swim clinics throughout the United States, GMSC has to be considered the best of all worlds: the best teachers, the most experienced swimmers and people who truly care about the success of each individual who attends. They'll tailor a class for your group, regardless of its level."

Cathy Huang
Director of Aquatics,
University of San Francisco Master swimmer

"One of the great things about GMSC is that they can teach expertly on many levels. We had two clinics, one for kids and one for masters. Both groups enjoyed watching the repoire between Tom and his wife Becky. Everyone at Gold Medal Swimming Clinics works extremely well together and they all share a great love for the sport."

Jim Novak
Parent and swim clinic organizer
Allegheny Swim Club, Pittsburgh, PA

"Most of the kids in the swim club were good swimmers, but all of them improved their skills at the clinic. But more than just learning the techniques, they got the exposure to an Olympic athlete. They enjoyed watching Shaun swim and were impressed with his accomplishments and attitude. My three sons still talk about Shaun and how cool they think he is. He is most definitely still a strong source of motivation long after the clinic."

Don Bogus
Clinic organizer
Peters Township Swim Team, Bridgeville, PA

"These clinics have become the kickoff event to our season, with a dinner celebration including the swimmers, their parents and the GMSC clinicians. We've had a number of clinicians visit us and while they all might be well-known in the sport, GMSC chooses them because of their belief in swimming as an extension of life and their ability to share their experiences with swimmers on any level."
